The purpose of the event is to cover the most distance running exactly in one hour. The current Club records are: Glen Mays covering 17,700 meters, and Susan Hage covering 14,180 meters. The American Record is 20,547 meters set by Bill Rodgers in 1977 and 17,273 meters set by Nancy Conz in 1981.
