Hage and Markland Win Greenbelt 20; Poulos and Servidio Win the 10

The 36th annual Greenbelt Holiday 10 and 20 mile races were held on
Saturday January 8, 2000 under sunny skies with seasonable temperatures
in the 40Õs. This brought a large turnout for the testing , hilly
course.
In the 20 mile race, Jim Hage led everyone all the way ( including
the 10 milers!) to an easy win in 1:57:09. Kimberly Markland was the
womenÕs champion, finishing 4th overall in a time of 2:09:23.
In the 10 mile race, Ted Poulos was a repeat winner in 60:07 while
Sharon Servidio led the women( 6th overall) in a time of 63:06.
